Optimist Soccer League

Optimist Soccer is open to all children who are currently in grades kindergarten through eight. Those in begindergarten, pre-kindergarten, early-fives, preschool, readiness, etc. must wait until they are actually in kindergarten. No exceptions!

Due to declining participation in the all-girl divisions, all teams in the Optimist Soccer League will be co-ed in 2012.

To guarantee a place on an Optimist Soccer team, players MUST be registered no later than February 1, 2012. After that date, there is a $10.00 per player late fee, and no guarantee that there will be openings on any team.

Player registration forms will be mailed to registered players from the 2011 season, but they are sent via third class bulk mail and do not always get delivered on time, Forms will also be distributed through all Niles, Brandywine, Buchanan, and Cassopolis elementary schools.

Registration sessions will be held on the following dates at the locations indicated. You may also mail your registration to the address on the form or drop it off at the front desk of the Niles-Buchanan YMCA.
